Under the skin as something that exists, yet you can't see it, which is hidden, but not that deep, something that stays forever.
Under the skin like memory, the one we carry inside, precious guardian of our experience, welcoming with newborn memories, and always ready to enrich those already settled. […]

In Under skin. Stories of memories and persistence memory streams are created, cross, flake off, they clash and recompose not only for the dialogues between the different artists involved, but also for the places chosen to host the three exhibitions o, better to say, the three acts that make up the entire exhibition project.
These are places full of events, memories and lived stories, located in three different regions - Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige - to allow a peculiar flow of memory from one to the other, and to weave a network united by multiple connections that intertwine with each other in view of an exchange full of ideas and unpublished, new, narrations.
A Lombard viscount castle, a Venetian Palladian villa and an Austro-Hungarian fortress from Trentino represent not only the containers of the three exhibitions, but the tangible and pregnant testimony of the fact that the memory, the history and experience of those who preceded us in the past still remain as tangible presences, stimulating us, with their essence, constantly to never let us lose sight of our origins, source of memory whose value remains current and present in today's life.
The three acts, joined by a thin thread, they are three episodes of a single story that starts from the origin of memory, then passes through the element time, an inexorable component which cannot be ignored, up to the negation of memory, or better to say, of memories, sedimented over the centuries and jealously guarded until today.

In the selected works of art, in the concepts that are addressed, although all referable to the macro theme of memory, each of us can recognize ourselves, finding the elements from which to draw the personal stimulus to reflect on one's own testimonies of memory, but also stories of common and shared life.
