The Book of Water, by the Catalan artist Joanpere Massana, it can be considered as the most recent chapter of a story preceded by other episodes, as a fully successful attempt to show off his passion as an anomalous bibliophile. Get closer to Massana's works, in fact, requires, in some respects, a classic procedure of interpretation, a sort of contemporary hermeneutics that replaces the inextricability of an ancient text with a lived story to be recomposed starting from letters, numbers and digits, presented in disorder with respect to a rational reading. The book "browsed" by the reader is waiting to be "rearranged", thus bringing to light the hidden meaning behind gestures and signs with a strong emotional charge. Deciphering the different materials applied to the pictorial support leads the observer to embark on a figurative journey whose time is marked by the flow of water.
