by Andrea B. Del Guercio - dal 18 September to 31 December 2014

A reflection ironic and irreverent but together cultured and deep, result of a work of personal introspection and at the same time collective breath: these are some of the main figures of the work of Federico Unia, young guest artist of the non-profit project Banking ART SYSTEM.

“Federico Unia. The dilation of the eye” is the title of the exhibition anthology that Bank System receives at its headquarters in Corso Monforte in Milan. A path consists of 30 paintings made with a mixed technique between the 2010 and the 2014, some of which are from private collections.

The exhibition unfolds along a complex series of paintings, often large: all works are characterized by a original transfiguration, result of a process of reinterpretation of the historical and artistic heritage. These are works of great emotional impact and the richest in terms of symbolic, able to arouse in the viewer a broad spectrum of emotions.

The works of Unia live in particular of technical virtuosity of painting never ends in themselves but always used by the artist in the service of the expressive message: you could also talk about the aesthetic use of the medium as a tool for communication and sharing of complaints and appeals, hopes and torments, in a "game" complex overlap and contamination.

Even a cursory reading of the mass media, over that of existential reflection, can somehow get closer to the innermost soul of the work of Federico Unia, this effect is strongly influenced by the binding of the street art Milanese, it belongs to his first creative period.

The exhibition tries to return a single occasion all the liveliness intellectual and aesthetic that characterizes the work of artistic Unia and its relative evolution.

The staff of Frederick Unia is the tenth exhibition sponsored by Bank System within the non-profit project that ART SYSTEM Bank, born in 2011, aims to support and encourage the work of young Italian artists by offering them opportunities and visibility tools.

To this end, the Bank System with Vanillaedizioni also publishes and distributes a catalog of the exhibition presents together and traces, thanks to a rich and varied text of Andrea Del Guercio, the entire evolutionary trajectory of the artistic production of Unia. (SHOP THE CATALOGUE)
