It is made up of pieces that fit together very freely around the fixed appointment of the live from the house, a point of contact with the outside that, immediately, it has become my real ritual.

With which objects and spaces of your daily life are you interacting the most?
My home studio and my tools, a relationship that has already been alive for some time and has become even more vital.

We are dealing with a new time and space. What are you discovering or rediscovering about yourself?
It was a time of careful budgeting, of strong empathy, of answers open to future reflections. The thing that surprised me most was people's relationship with my music: probably having been forced to suddenly put on the brakes has in some way predisposed us to a more open attitude to 'slow-listening'. I felt it clearly on more than one occasion and this allowed me, in such a delicate moment, to feel even more free in the creative act.

What you're missing? Your personal experience of "absence" and "lack".
I miss physical contact with loved ones, I miss walking with low volume music in my ears and the noises of the city that blend with it, I miss the sound of applause at the end of the performance.

Pianist, composer and visual artist, Luca Longobardi represents the generation of classically trained musicians who incorporate the language of contemporary electronic music and multimedia into their works. Born in 1976, studied music in Italy and New York and in 2011 he obtained a Doctorate in Digital Audio Restoration at La Sapienza, Rome. He composes music for ballet, the theatre, television and cinema. Many of his productions are strongly linked to experimental installations (A Fifth Corps, The Biber Project) and immersive shows (Light Workshop – Paris, Careers of the Enlightenment – Baux-de-Provence, Art power plant – Leipzig) for which he also takes care of the musical direction.
