Through the images of this catalog, the path that Zanardi has taken up to here gives us confirmation in the panorama of contemporary Italian art: the presence of a knowledgeable and prepared artist, specialized in refining individual memories and forgotten memories with the skilful art of sculpture and photography, to reach and sort out the universal and collective meaning. The eye and the hand, therefore, and among them the visible object (the memorial sign, the simulacrum, the residual trace, the lost portrait) and the immaterial one of memory transposed into imagination.

Serena Zanardi was born in Genoa in 1978.
In 2004 he graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, in 2005 he graduated in technology and language of the contemporary photographic project cfp Bauer in Milan.
Lives and works in Genoa.
