The exhibition by Maria Micozzi, originally from Tolentino, it draws its most immediate motivation from the traumas that the Marche region has suffered with the recent earthquakes. It is difficult to overcome the painful content of similar experiences and processing is a long path of necessary and difficult change.
The life force is in regeneration; art testifies to its most secret values.
“Around the fallen houses / no questions asked, / you look for where to lay the penalty / where to find heart / for interrupted stories ". _Maria Micozzi
[…] The critic and philosopher Giuseppe Vannucci writes: “In his work oriented to a systemic vision of the world, in the “relational” conception of Gregory Bateson, the fantastic dimension springs from the labyrinthine complexity of the infinite possible relationships, geometric-mathematical, mnestic or symbolic among the elements of a whole that, in the organic vision of Maria Micozzi, translates into the feminine myth of the great cosmic mother through the sinuous and erotic force of her headless female bodies. In his longing for the formal recomposition of totality through the coexistence and 'mending', in his works of fragments, of multiple languages the rigid and schematic contrasts between figuration and abstraction disappear, between rational and non-rational, between mind and body thus outlining new possible connections and relationships between contexts and unrelated realities ".
