Arteam Cup – Focus Reggio Emilia

In Reggio Emilia, from 4 May 1 June 2019, a focus on contemporary art and new generations. Born from the collaboration betweenArteam Cultural Association of Albissola Marina (SV) and the Reggio Emilia art galleries belonging to the network of Simultaneously, the “Focus Reggio Emilia”, prize awarded within the Arteam Cup 2018 to promote and support contemporary artistic research.
Five artists (Avoid Andújar, Patrizia Novello, Serena Piccinini, Gianluca Patti, Alice Faloretti) for five galleries (Galleria 'Bonis, Vicolo Folletto Art Factories, Galleria 8,75 Artecontemporanea, Bonioni Arte, 1.1_ZENONE contemporary) that, as usual, they chose to network, working together on the “Recognizioni In Contemporanea” project, edited by Clare Serri.

«Although different in experience and language, the five searches – explains Chiara Serri – present some interesting points of tangency: primarily memory recovery, understood as fertile ground for imaginative processes that allow broad dreamlike openings; secondly, the reflection on the reality/fiction binomial, starting point for a reflection that involves contemporary society, from identity dynamics in the time of social media to the reconsideration of the man/nature relationship in relation to the progressive impoverishment of natural capital; thirdly, the particular attention paid to the technical part, whether it draws on past experiences to develop a personal language, whether it arises from the experimentation of new processes and materials, key elements of an ongoing journey".
