[…] The project touches a major challenge: the need to rethink and experience the city and its relationship with the urban green. Not by chance was chosen Palazzo Lombardia, symbol of the architectural renovation of Milan that has upset the skyline of the city of Milan.
The title is an oxymoron: indicates a place marked and distorted by human intervention, Anthropic but at the same time Natural, that is untouched by human presence.
Despite this paradox, the title also wants to be an omen, already become reality, namely that the architecture can merge more and more with nature without distorting it but integrating it. An attempt to return to a merger with Nature was already experienced by Frank Lloyd Wright's famous "Falling Water" in 1936/39, in the name of what he called "organic architecture". A challenge today more necessary than ever, find examples in which existing realities such as green vertical Quai Branly museum in Paris or in the future Torri del Bosco Verticale, under construction just behind the Palazzo Lombardia in Milan.
