Albissola 400

On the occasion of 400 years of the Municipality of Albissola Marina (SV), Silvia Sabatini and Gianni Venturi offer an accurate historical account of the Ligurian town from its origins to today.

It is a pleasure and an honor to be the Mayor of our beloved Municipality on the occasion of the anniversary of the 400 years of his birth. I am convinced that only by knowing and studying our roots can we imagine growing and progressing together.
The history of our community is a beautiful mosaic in which many stories intertwine that deserve to be known and told and of which each of our fellow citizens, with its history and relationships, constitutes a card.
So I thank all those who, starting with the authors, have gone to great lengths to make possible this publication which contains an accurate historical account, evidence of the customs of the various eras and that, I am convinced, it will be a starting point for reflection to better understand, from our history, who we are and where we would like to go.
