Spicaisa. Two left hands

Pietro Spica and Isabella Mandelli, the first established artist, the second successful manager, they found themselves crossing the brushes to represent their "fantastic world", colorful and ethereal, inhabited by imaginative characters, real and dreamlike at the same time. Watercolor, which is nothing but colored light, the closest thing to a shadow than, detaching from bodies and figures, takes space in our gaze. The color runs where the wet trace left by the brush on the soft and absorbent paper summons it,
to take shape, wiping, in a transparent veil. Characters that evoke a tale, offering a setting for a story. Even when they don't reproduce faces, they offer clues to real and at the same time impossible beings, that slowly reveal themselves to the eye, maybe just by turning or, why not, overturning the work. And then arises the desire to discover a completely immaterial imaginary bestiary which, detaching itself from bodies and figures, comes to life in the imagination and in the space of our gaze..
