The closer you get, or move away, from his paintings, regardless of size, and more unexpected figures flourish, monsters spring from landscapes, clouds and springs rise from gruesome grunts, fish emerge from insects, reptiles sprout from eddies of lava, bearded thugs from poisonous vapors, or, the other way around, all these forms lose all meaning and are transformed into meanders bordering on the informal.
