“You ask me why I don't paint. I can try to explain it to words. In my path, Painting is not present, but it is latent. I work with materials that often interact with light, like velvet, satin, copper, Metals or mirror surfaces. My research is oriented towards the relationship that these changing materials have with light. The works acquire depth and change when they are observed; moving, The work interacts with the viewer. It is almost as if I were looking for a sort of chiaroscuro or three -dimensionality in the work, typical elements of photography.“Mimmo Iacopino
