Flagelli d'Italia: Memoirs of a wild civilization is a visual wise of Federica Clear which places a reflection on the effects of anthropization and human activities on the climate and its balances.
On the cover a collage of three photos composes the tricolor: flooded vineyards, A seagull that flies among the chimneys of Ravenna, A red painted bark to identify a tree to be torn down. The tricolor is also the fil rouge that accompanies the narration of the first chapter, which recalls the political and cultural models praised by those who govern us as militarism and patriotism, exaltation of national and industrial quantities, But also to those models of economic and energy development now obsolete and no longer sustainable to deal with the challenges that our era has imposed on the European objectives of decarbonisation and minimization of the loss of the urban green space…
