In the spring of 2026 we are back to orbiting the Moon with updated technologies, new crews and new ambitions.
While science prepared the launch, a group of artists took a stand. Per Arianna Lion the satellite is not a body to be contemplated, but a threshold between memory and change. Barbara Pirotto it relates the order of the universe to human interiority, Lorenzo Rossi takes it as a critical field, While Nadia Ploug Gardella transforms it into an unstable mirror of identity. Stefania Loreto interprets it as an interior presence and Pietro Marchese it builds spaces in which it becomes a device of transformation.
The Moon has never been a real elsewhere: every time we evoked it, we talked about ourselves. Artemis 6 – Fragments of Moon arises from this awareness, not as it shows on the Moon, but as a creative device that intercepts symbolic and imaginative values.
