Volume published on the occasion of the exhibition, “Vincenzo Marseille. After-logic", edited by Matteo Galbiati, Ducal Palace, Sabbioneta (MN), 3 June – 31 July 2016.
Vincenzo Marsiglia tiptoes into the ancient rooms of the Ducal Palace of Sabbioneta and, without altering the silent sacredness of the place, he arranges his works with method and care, in a process of continuous references to the surrounding space. At the Palace, historical memory of past eras, of family events, political and administrative, the task of telling, to bear witness, this time, of a creative excursus, imbued with contemporary culture and always changing in its many expressive forms.
This is how the Vincenzo Marsiglia exhibition was born and built. After-Logic/or, a path, before being exhibition, of knowledge of the place and dialogue with its cultural roots and its historical-artistic relics. Only after a careful study of the spaces and their profound atmospheres, after having memorized and internalized each decoration, friezes, paintings, registrations, after having understood the value of the voids and silences connected to them, Marseille has selected 15 works from his entire production and arranged them among the rooms, without ever crowding them and without suffocating them.
