HÝBRIS – The proportion as the practice of communication

The proportion, currently high in practice by the mechanisms of a globalized economy, in the greek world was identified in the hýbris, concept which indicates the arrogance that can arise in humans as opposed to the hierarchical "right fit" of the cosmos traditional. The expression of the tension between order and chaos, one derived from the temperance and the other from pride, is crucial in Greek tragedy as in many current forms of artistic expression, maintaining the same purposes cathartic. Alternating dramatic notes to play, the exhibition Hýbris, dramatically as the practice of communication brings together a selection of recent works by three young Italian artists, Enrica Berson (Modena 1984), Silvia Forese (Verona 1984) ed Elena Monzo (Brescia 1981).
Although formally different, the works of three artists interact in a single project to show different interpretations and shades of today's culture of excess, with the aim to explore the peculiarities semantic visual exuberance in contemporary life.
