Art, History and narrative in the Finalist Cinquina of the Anthia Prize 2025!

Is underway to Peagna di Ceriale the 44ª edition of the review Books of Liguria (30 August – 7 September 2025), which will culminate with the usual conferment, by theAssociation Friends of Peagna, the Anthia Award to the Ligurian book of the year!

Happy to report that among the five finalist titles Figures the volume “The artists at Mazzotti. Ceramics in Albisola” – edited by Vanillaedizioni - which traces over a century of activity of the ceramic factory Giuseppe Mazzotti 1903 and the surprising crossroads and artistic laboratory that it has represented over time.

For this edition, dedicated to Themes of and of freedoms, resorting l’eightieth anniversary of the liberation, The titles that contribute to the prize are: (in alphabetical order by author or curator):

• Portofino blues, Valerio aiolli (Woland, 2025)

• The artists at Mazzotti. Ceramics in Albisola, edited by Paula Gargiulo with critical contributions of Tullio Mazzotti and of Rolando Giovannini and the collaboration of Alice Bolcano (Vanillaedizioni, 2025).

• History of the Garibaldian battalion "Melchiorre Vanni", Maria Cristina Mirabello (Since, 2025)

• Like the fireflies, Francesca Pongiluppu (Solferino, 2025)

• Ottoman, Barbareschi and died in art in Genoa, edited by Laura Stagno and Daniele Sanguineti with the collaboration of Valentina Borniotto (Sagep, 2024)

The volume winner of the Antia Prize will be proclaimed, After the Presentation of all five books selected as finalists, in the evening of Thursday 4 September, starting His work has been exhibited 21.00, at the Theater “Carlo Vacca” of Peagna (In case of bad weather, the movement will be evaluated in the nearby house Girardenghi).
