Words fly
Newspaper lends itself to an ironic reinterpretation of the Latin saying "verba volant scripta manent", where the speech, relevant to humans, dispossessed of its meaning, takes on animal appearance, subject that is, par excellence, deprived. Flying words, undecided, nitrite or pungent, they wrap themselves around these emaciated and fugitive animals, very unruly and unavailable to good presence, very ready to disappear, in an attempt to translate, through form, the inadequacy and division of a body of flesh with feelings and thoughts – so changeable and tormented even when they contain a bit of happiness. Because the word, it is extreme grace but also damnation, who lives, uttered or accepted, without possessing the gift of accuracy. And then, you might as well put her to sleep on an underwire hanger, a thought around a portion of air, and stand and observe that it has the strange effect of a giraffe in the middle of a dining room.
