Paintings hypnotic and mysterious, in front of which linger, outcome of different paths to results, and forms of expression, but united by a continuous search.

Donald Baechler (Hartford, Connecticut, 1956) follows, albeit with irony, the road to primitivism, landing following an essential simplicity, Tipping the canons of classical art. Beauty as simplicity, associated with the purity of childhood, time of curiosity, games and early literacy. Collector of forms, creates works of great visual impact, characterized by black silhouette. His paintings are preserved at the MOMA and the Guggenheim in New York, at the MOCA in Los Angeles and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Ross Bleckner (New York, 1949) works using the airbrush to create a set of patches that become recognizable figure of a personal language of scientific inspiration. His works evoke the universe Cell, the representation of organic particles that scompongo and multiply up to hypnotize the viewer. World-renowned artist, is present in the collections of MOMA and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, di MOCA Los Angeles and the Centre National de Arte Reina Sofia Museo di Madrid.

James Brown (Los Angeles, 1951) is represented in the exhibition by a group of paintings from the series "Opus contra Naturam", made in Mexico between the 1993 and the 1994. After the research of the New York period, who see him share with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, the graffiti scene, those 90s are works by strong impression introspective, discussing the roots and self-seeking. Natural colors and subjects plant, from old maps that still bear the scars of repeated bending. An immediate visual code, almost primordial, made of simple elements and archetypal forms.

Philip Taaffe (Elizabeth, New Jersey, 1955) intends to art as a tribal practice. Since the 80 plays that captures images on canvas and on paper with different techniques: blockprint, rubber molds, serigraphy, collage. As a scribe, collects and records the collective knowledge, the myths and symbols of an era, ensuring their survival. Particularly fascinated by some aspects of nature (jellyfish and sea anemones), as well as ornamental elements interlocking, its patterns are never perfectly regular despite their apparent repetitiveness, as it is the nature.

Peter Shuyff (Baam, Holland, 1967) is an artist with a complex expression. As regards the visual arts, is famous for the practice of "painting on found painting", through which he painted figurative works patterned on value content, but especially for works almost optical, where he reveals his mastery. Paintings of great brightness, characterized by subsequent layers and a new trial chiaroscuro.
