The exhibition was born from the experience of a collective of artists who live in the Albenga area and proposes one reflection on the Moon not just how celestial body, but how physical space, symbolic and cultural, full of scientific suggestions, mythological and imaginative. The title itself – Artemis.6 – Fragments of Moon – contains a double evocative reference: one side Artemis, lunar deity of Greek mythology, on the other the NASA's recent Artemis II space project, emblem of humanity's renewed drive towards the exploration of our satellite. Finally, number six recalls the protagonist artists, whose research composes a complex mosaic of contemporary visions.

This exhibition talks about the Moon as a physical space, symbolic and cultural, while humanity prepares to return there to truly experience it: an epochal transition that redefines our relationship with the universe” – the artists jointly declared.

The works set up in the municipal spaces go from sculpture to engraving, from painting to other visual practices, intertwining traditional techniques and contemporary languages to provide a multifaceted interpretation of the lunar theme. The artists, also teachers of artistic subjects, they co-conceived and co-produced the exhibition, accompanied by a catalog published by Vanillaedizioni, enriched by authoritative contributions, including those of Franco Malerba themselves, first Italian astronaut, Massimo Morasso, President of the Busalla Space Festival Association, e Walter Riva, director of the Righi Astronomical Observatory in Genoa.

The inauguration is open to the public: pm 11:00, the informative conference with the participation of Franco Malerba, Massimo Morasso and Walter Riva, at the Council Hall of the Municipality of Diano Marina (second floor of the municipal building in Piazza Martiri della Libertà 3) and, to follow, the presentation of the artistic project, in the nearby Exhibition and Conference Hall “R.
